I cooked meat in sauce in a frying pan with vegetables for lunch. I didn't have beef, so I replaced it with pork. From vegetables I took bell pepper and garlic. I added onions and carrots myself. It seems to me that these vegetables combine well with each other and add aroma and pleasant taste to the meat sauce. I stewed the meat in a frying pan under the lid for 40 minutes, then added chopped vegetables, after a few minutes sour cream (my sour cream had 15% fat content), tomato paste, sugar and bay leaf. I had very little tomato paste, only half a teaspoon. Therefore, the color of the sauce was not very bright, but the taste and aroma, which included bell pepper, which my husband really liked, were wonderful!
