I made several jars of lingonberries for the winter without boiling them in syrup. Banks decided to take “washers” to open at a time. My lingonberries are frozen, but I also washed them with filtered water. I filled the jars almost completely and poured boiling syrup over them. For better sterilization, I kept the jars with the lids down under the blanket. It turned out something between compote and jam) This is a wonderful dessert. The berries are fresh, sweet and fragrant. The syrup is rich, bright, thick. Great recipe! I recommend!
