Lard in chocolate

A non-standard combination of tastes for gourmets! Every housewife has probably heard of such a dish as lard in chocolate. I think few people have tasted this dish. I really like to experiment, which is why yesterday I started preparing this sweetness according to a very simple culinary recipe.

    So, we start by thoroughly rinsing the lightly salted lard.

    Then dry it with a paper towel.

    After this, cut the prepared lard into thin slices approximately 0.2-0.4 millimeters thick.

    Now melt the chocolate in a water bath. To do this, place a chocolate bar broken into pieces in a small iron bowl, which we place in a larger diameter iron bowl or pan with water. Turn the heat to medium and wait for the water in the lower pan to warm up. Immediately after this, the chocolate will begin to melt. Do not forget to constantly stir the resulting mass. You can also melt the chocolate in the microwave, which is much faster and easier.

    Mix the bulk ingredients in a bowl: cardamom, ground black and red pepper. All components should be evenly distributed among themselves.

    Now we take the slices of lard prepared in advance and roll them in the required amount of sprinkles.

    After this, dip the lard into melted chocolate.

    Place the pieces one by one on foil, which is best placed on a kitchen board or baking sheet.

Indeed, I’ve heard a lot about such a dish as “Lard in Chocolate,” but I’ve never come across a recipe for it. Experimenting in the kitchen is my weakness, and the combination of sweet and salty sometimes produces culinary masterpieces. I'll try to cook it.

Cockroaches are not lard after all. And this dish is not for everyone, no one forces you to try it. For example, I would categorically not eat frogs. But for some they are the best delicacy...
