Jam in a slow cooker
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make jam in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. For winter preparations, it is better to take seasonal, garden and ripest apples - that’s when the jam will turn out the most aromatic and tasty. You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar, depending on your preferences. If you have sour apple varieties, do not add citric acid.
STEP 2
Sort the apples, removing spoiled fruits - they can cause fermentation. Wash them well and dry them. Peel the apples. To remove it into thin shavings, I recommend using a vegetable peeler.
STEP 3
Cut each fruit into quarters. Cut out the seed box and the attachment points for the stalk.
STEP 4
Place the chopped wedges in one bowl and cover them with sugar.
STEP 5
Add citric acid. Mix well.
STEP 6
Place the kneaded mass in the multicooker and set the cooking mode to “Baking”, time 1 hour (or any other mode in which you usually bake in your multicooker. This will depend on the features of your model). After the end signal, switch the process to the “Extinguishing” mode (or another suitable one), and also set the time to 1 hour.
STEP 7
After the time has passed, open the lid and stir the jam. Place it immediately hot into prepared clean jars. Cover them with clean lids.
STEP 8
Store the finished jam in a cool, dry place. Bon appetit!
