  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients according to the list. I used gooseberries, currants and sea buckthorn as a berry base; these berries are similar in density and taste. You cannot combine, for example, such loose berries as strawberries, raspberries and dense gooseberries. These berries require different aging times. The berries should be well ripe, but not overripe or spoiled.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

It is better to freeze the berries in the freezer so that they give up all their beneficial properties and taste to the alcohol base during infusion. We carefully sort out the fresh berries, remove the spoiled berries, rinse them well, let the liquid drain, and place the berries in a colander. Place the berries in the freezer for several hours to freeze.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then take it out and let the berries thaw at room temperature. Place the defrosted berries in a glass container. Cover the berries with sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Fill with vodka so that it completely covers the berries with sugar; it is better to fill the container completely and use jars, they are more convenient. We close the dish with a nylon lid or a rubber stopper, shake well so that the sugar dissolves. We place the jar with the preparation in a cool place at room temperature, conveniently in a cabinet in the kitchen. We leave the tincture to infuse for a month and a half; the longer the tincture is aged, the richer its taste will be.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Once a week, shake the jar of tincture for better infusion. Then filter the tincture through gauze folded in several layers with cotton wool.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

It is better to filter the tincture several times, after a short soak, so that the precipitate that has formed is completely removed. Pour the tincture into bottles. We cork the bottles and store them in a cool place. The tincture is ready.
