  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make milk jelly with gelatin at home? Prepare your ingredients. Pour gelatin powder into a bowl or metal cup, cover with cold boiled water and leave for half an hour to swell. Gelatin comes in sheet, granular and powder form. And each type of gelatin requires different preparation and cooking times, so depending on the type of gelatin you choose, follow the instructions on the package.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

After the specified time, place the bowl with gelatin on the fire. Dissolve the gelatin over low heat with constant stirring; the mixture should become homogeneous, without gelatin crystals in the liquid. But do not let the mixture boil so that the gelatin does not lose its gelling properties.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour milk into another metal bowl (you can use any fat content you want and taste), put it on the fire, add sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat, pour in the jelly mixture and mix well.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Let the mixture cool slightly and add a pinch of vanillin to improve the taste of the dessert.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the mixture into molds or bowls. Cool the milk-jelly mixture at room temperature and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to harden the jelly.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Homemade milk jelly is ready. Serve it to the table in bowls or put it in saucers, after dipping the molds in hot water for a couple of minutes. Garnish the jelly with fresh berries or pour over coffee syrup. Bon appetit!

Everyone in my family loves jelly desserts. I usually alternate milk jelly with a fruit or berry layer. This time I made it only with milk. I took 3.2% milk and made sure to try it first, because the taste of the dessert depends on the taste of the milk itself. My gelatin is instant, so you don’t have to wait long for it to swell. Therefore, the jelly was ready very quickly. It was in the refrigerator for about an hour. I dissolved the gelatin in the microwave, which is convenient. The dessert is delicious, sweet, with a very pleasant consistency. Although the jelly is soft, it holds its shape perfectly. I think the proportions of gelatin and liquid in the recipe are very well chosen. Next time I’ll try adding melted chocolate and chicory to this jelly, you can also try it with coffee. This is an excellent base for desserts with different flavors.

I was interested in a recipe for homemade milk jelly made from milk with gelatin. I have never tried this jelly before. The dessert is very easy to prepare. My gelatin is not instant, so I poured it with water for 30 minutes. I took milk with a fat content of 3.5 percent. I also added coconut flakes. After about 3 hours, the jelly was ready. The resulting milk jelly was very tasty, tender, but at the same time with a dense texture. I liked this jelly even more than the fruit jelly. In my opinion, it would be good both as a dessert and for breakfast, instead of yogurt, for example. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!
