Frozen cranberry juice
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make cranberry juice from frozen cranberries at home? Measure out the ingredients listed. You can take boiled water. The amount of sugar is indicated for a sweet drink; if you want to reduce the sweetness, then reduce the indicated amount or replace it with honey.
STEP 2
Place the cranberries in a convenient bowl. The container should not be made of oxidizing materials in order to preserve the vitamin C contained in the berries. Thaw the cranberries completely.
STEP 3
Using a wooden masher, mash all the berries until the juice releases.
STEP 4
Squeeze out the juice completely through cheesecloth or a suitable clean cloth into a separate bowl. This is done in order to preserve as much vitamin C as possible. When heated, it is partially destroyed, and we will not heat the resulting juice. Place the pulp into a saucepan or ladle.
STEP 5
Fill the pulp with prepared water and place on high heat.
STEP 6
Bring the broth to a boil and remove from heat.
STEP 7
Strain the broth through a sieve, add sugar and stir the drink until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved.
STEP 8
Add pre-squeezed cranberry juice to the cooled drink.
STEP 9
Ready-made frozen cranberry juice can be served. In the warm season, you can add pieces of ice to the drink and garnish with mint leaves. Bon appetit!
