    STEP 1

How to cook Friendship porridge with water and milk? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Add salt and sugar to your taste. I added 1 tbsp. l. with a heap of sugar, because the family likes sweeter porridge. If you wish, you can cook the porridge only with water or milk.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Sort the rice and millet and rinse thoroughly separately until the water runs clear. Pour clean cold water over both cereals and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Boil 300 ml of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add millet and rice. Stirring, bring the water to a boil. Cook the cereal, skimming off the foam, for about 5 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

When the porridge begins to thicken, add milk, sugar and salt to taste. Bring the porridge to a boil again. Reduce heat to low. If desired, you can add vanilla sugar.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add butter. Stirring, cook the porridge until the desired thickness. Then turn off the heat. If you like crumbly porridge, then it is better not to deviate from the recipe. If you want a more boiled, homogeneous porridge, add 2 times more milk.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cover the pan with a lid and let the porridge brew for 5-7 minutes. During this time, all excess moisture, if any, will be absorbed into the cereal.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the finished Friendship porridge on plates. Add fresh berries, butter, honey or jam to each if desired and serve. Bon appetit!

My daughter’s Friendship porridge with water and milk is one of her favorites. That's why I cook it often. I usually just mix water and milk and then pour in the cereal. I liked this method better. The porridge turned out to be more tender, boiled, with a rich taste. I also poured water over the rice and millet, only the millet was hot. Otherwise, my daughter wouldn’t eat it). First, the cereals steamed and absorbed all the water. Then she poured it with milk, which she took twice as much to make the porridge a little viscous. The butter enriched the porridge with a creamy taste. Great breakfast! Thanks to the author for the recipe!

Friendship prepared porridge for breakfast with water and milk. I like the combination of rice and millet in porridge, but my husband prefers porridge from only one type of cereal. Therefore, I reduced the amount of rice. For 150 g of millet I took 50 g of rice, it was not very noticeable in the porridge, but I got a pleasant taste of rice in the porridge. I had long-grain steamed rice. I washed the cereals (both rice and millet), filled them with clean water and left for 10 minutes. Then boiled in a small amount of water for 5 minutes. Next, I added milk, took 550 g, so that the porridge turned out boiled and homogeneous. I also added salt and sugar. I added butter directly to the plates. It turned out great! The porridge came out very appetizing, thick, as the cereal was well boiled. Very tasty! Thank you very much for the recipe!
