Flaky rice for complex side dishes

STEP 1

We choose long grain rice, which is very popular in cooking.
STEP 2

Measure out the required amount of rice.
STEP 3

Rinse the rice under running water up to 8-10 times until the water becomes clear and leave to soak for 30 minutes.
STEP 4

Add 2 cups of hot water to the drained clean rice, put on high heat and bring to a boil, stirring before boiling. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 10-15 minutes, then add salt to taste and stir. Turn off the stove, cover the pan with a lid and let stand for 5 minutes until fully cooked. Place the finished rice in a colander to drain and rinse, stirring, under cold running water.
STEP 5

Place the rice on a plate and add a little sunflower oil. If we later use boiled and washed rice as a semi-finished product, place it in the same pan in which it was cooked, add any oil, spices, and herbs to taste.
STEP 6

RICE prepared in this way is a semi-finished product for salads, appetizers and complex side dishes.
