  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make dough for pies in a frying pan using water? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will need a very minimal set of products. It is better to use fresh, live yeast; it makes the dough more airy and bubbly. How to replace yeast, read the article at the end of the recipe. I also add a lot of vegetable oil to the dough for elasticity.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Crumble (grind) fresh yeast and add some boiled water. If you are using dry yeast, then skip steps 2-3 and add it directly to the flour.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Mix well until the yeast is completely dissolved in the water. It is better to take warm water, the yeast in it will disperse faster. Yeast is afraid of hot water, and in cold water it will be difficult for it to rise.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Take the largest pan (the dough will greatly increase in size so that it does not run away) and mix all the dry ingredients in it: sifted flour, salt and sugar. Sugar helps the yeast grow, so you can add a little more than the recipe calls for. You may need a little less or more flour. Read about the properties of flour in the link at the end of the recipe.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the yeast into the pan.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Add refined vegetable oil.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour in all the remaining warm boiled water and knead into a loose dough.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Let the dough rise for 30-40 minutes. Cover it with a towel and place it in a warm, draft-free place.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Then stir the remaining flour into the pie dough. The dough should not be stiff, knead until it stops sticking to your hands, at least 10 minutes. And immediately start making pies. Try not to add too much flour; it is better to grease the table and hands with vegetable oil. The pies will still rise well while frying in a frying pan. This amount of dough is enough for me for about 20 pies. Bon appetit!

Thanks for the clear recipe. I usually knead yeast dough with milk, but it also works well with water.

I wanted fried pies))) I chose a recipe for dough for pies in a frying pan using water. I used fresh yeast. I didn’t deviate from the author’s recipe. The dough rose well, it turned out soft, slightly sticking to my hands, but I did not add additional flour, and with further kneading, the excess stickiness disappeared. For the filling, I fried fresh cabbage with minced meat and onions. The pies turned out tender, soft, airy!!! Delicious! The proportions of the ingredients are chosen precisely. I'm saving the recipe. Thanks for the recipe, hallen-bunny!
