  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How do Berliners make donuts? Prepare the necessary products. Preheat the milk until warm. The remaining products should be at room temperature.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour the warm milk into a bowl, add yeast and two tablespoons of sugar. Add a little flour, about 1-2 tablespoons. This is our dough. After a while it should rise like a cap. This means that our yeast is working and has been activated.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

This is how my dough rose. Now add melted butter, remaining sugar, egg, salt and flour to it in parts. Please note that you may need more or less flour. Therefore, focus on the consistency of the dough. It should turn out moderately steep, but not too much, elastic and not sticky.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Knead the dough. Cover it with a towel and place it in a warm place for 1.5 hours or more. The dough needs to rise.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

That's how it came up for me. Knead the dough with your hands again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Dust your work surface with flour. Place the dough on the table. Roll it out one and a half cm thick. Squeeze out these mugs with the edge of a glass. Cover them with a towel and leave to rise for an hour.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Heat a frying pan on the stove. Add vegetable oil to it, wait until it becomes hot. To find out if the oil is hot enough, dip a wooden spatula into it. If there are bubbles around the paddle, the oil is ready to go.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Fry the Berlinera donuts on both sides until golden brown. Reduce the heat slightly. If donuts are fried in very hot oil, they will remain raw inside. Therefore, try not to heat the oil too much. If you have a thermometer, we need 170-180 degrees.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the finished donuts on a paper napkin to remove excess oil. Take a cooking syringe. Fill it with jam (I used raspberry). Make a hole in the side of the donut with a syringe and fill the donut with filling. Do this carefully. Instead of jam, you can use any sweet cream, boiled condensed milk, or chocolate spread. The donuts should not be very hot during the filling process - just warm.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Dust the filled donuts with powdered sugar. That's it, the Berliners are ready. Help yourself!

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

This is what the donuts look like when broken. They are fluffy and soft.
