  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make custard for waffle rolls? Prepare ingredients for making cream. If you do not have a sweet tooth, then I advise you to take less sugar, you can get by with 150 grams. Butter must be of high quality, complying with GOST. Remove it from the refrigerator in advance to allow it to soften.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Take a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour bulk ingredients into it - sugar, flour and vanillin. Mix them with a whisk.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add the egg there and stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour milk in a thin stream. At the same time, constantly stir the mixture with a whisk. It should become absolutely homogeneous.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the saucepan with the milk mixture over low heat. This is important - a thick bottom and a small fire. Since the mass will thicken during cooking, it can easily burn. A thick bottom will prevent this moment. If you are not confident in your cooking utensils, cook the custard base in a water bath.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

While constantly stirring the mixture with a whisk, wait until it thickens. This usually takes about 5 minutes. It will boil and large bubbles will appear on the surface. Turn off the heat and cool the mixture completely. Thus we prepared the custard base for the cream.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

When the base has cooled completely, add soft butter to it.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Beat the cream with a mixer until it becomes a fluffy white mass. The cream is ready, you can stuff it into cakes or coat a cake.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Transfer the cream into a piping bag. Stuff waffle rolls with it. It is more convenient to do this on both sides of the tube so that the cream reaches the middle. The finished tubes can be stored in the refrigerator. After cooling, the cream will become thicker.
