Cucumbers fried in olive oil with chili peppers
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
We take the ingredients from the list and follow the recipe on how to cook fried cucumbers - perhaps this dish will seem unusual to some, but it’s worth a try!
STEP 2
Wash the cucumbers, cut them into strips and sprinkle with salt.
STEP 3
Then put them in a colander to drain the liquid for 20 minutes. Squeeze excess moisture from the cucumbers and dry them with a paper towel.
STEP 4
Peel the garlic, wash it, cut it into thin slices.
STEP 5
Add thinly sliced garlic and a pinch of chili pepper to olive or vegetable oil heated in a frying pan. Fry for about 30 seconds.
STEP 6
Roll cucumbers in cornstarch. If you wish, you can roll the cucumbers in another starch or skip this step altogether.
STEP 7
Then put them in a frying pan with the garlic and fry first on one side until golden brown.
STEP 8
Turn over and fry on the other side until a crust appears.
STEP 9
Add soy sauce and sesame seeds to the cucumbers. Fry for about 4-5 minutes.
STEP 10
Place the prepared cucumbers on a plate.
STEP 11
Decorate them with green onions or any other herbs.
STEP 12
Serve as an independent dish in the form of a hot appetizer, or as a low-calorie side dish for meat, fish, poultry, mushrooms, etc. Serve with any drinks.
