Dear Anahit, I completely agree with you - for us the name itself sounds too extreme, and it’s not typical for us Europeans to fry cucumbers. This dish belongs to Chinese cuisine, and you can also find not such tricks here. But the taste, as I mentioned above, is nothing special - it resembles fried zucchini, so you can eat it.
