Cucumber appetizer

Beautiful, for a holiday, easy and quick to prepare! A cucumber appetizer will decorate any table, despite its apparent simplicity and commonness. There is no mayonnaise in it, so the snack is also light. Bright accents in the form of caviar, tomatoes and fish make it look very festive.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a cucumber snack? Prepare your food. It is preferable to take smooth and long cucumbers, but if you have ordinary varieties, cook with them, it will still turn out delicious. The amount of filling - cheese, tomatoes, fish and caviar - will depend on the length of the cucumbers and the number of pieces into which you cut the cucumbers.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all, I’ll show you how to make an appetizer with caviar. Wash the cucumber, dry it and cut off the ends. Cut into pieces of equal size, about 6cm long. To ensure that they really are the same, when cutting, use the already cut piece as a measure.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Next, cut the resulting barrels in half, not evenly, but diagonally, stepping back a centimeter from both edges.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Using a teaspoon, carefully scoop out the center with the seeds from the oblique edge of each piece.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the curd cheese into a pastry bag (or regular thick one) with a shaped tip. Place the cheese in beautiful rosettes into the resulting recesses. Of course, you can just spoon the cheese out with a spoon, but it turns out prettier with a spoon. And you can add finely chopped herbs, mashed avocado, garlic, and your favorite spices to the cheese. It all depends on your taste and imagination. Place a few eggs on top of the cheese and insert a sprig of dill.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

For another appetizer, peel thin strips of the skin from the cucumber to make it stripy. It is convenient to do this with a vegetable peeler.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cut the striped cucumber into portions. I made some thicker, others thinner.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Also remove the centers from thick ones with a spoon.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

And place the curd cheese on top in the same way.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Decorate one part of the cucumbers with cut tomatoes and place green leaves on top.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cut the red fish into very thin slices and roll them into roses. Place the roses on the cheese and insert sprigs of herbs on the side.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Serve the appetizer to the table. You can make it in advance - cucumbers behave perfectly, nothing leaks. Bon appetit!
