STEP 1
How to make croissants from yeast-free dough? Prepare the necessary ingredients. If the dough is frozen, take it out in advance. It is better to defrost it gradually in the refrigerator over several hours. This way, when defrosting, there will be no sudden temperature change and the dough will better retain its properties. Take good quality chocolate, without artificial additives, preferably dark. With it, the taste of the filling will be more intense.
STEP 2
Roll out the puff pastry thinly into a rectangular layer. Cut the dough into triangles. In this case, it is convenient to use rolled dough. But I was unable to purchase this.
STEP 3
Place chocolate on the wide part of each dough triangle, parallel to the base.
STEP 4
Start rolling the croissant from the wide edge to the narrow edge. At the same time, press the dough a little near the filling so that the chocolate does not leak out during baking. Form the croissants carefully so that the edges of the chocolate slices do not tear the dough.
STEP 5
Pinch the ends of each croissant well. Make croissants from the rest of the dough in the same way.
STEP 6
Place the croissants on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
STEP 7
Bake in an oven preheated to 190-200C for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Let the finished baked goods cool slightly.
STEP 8
It's delicious to serve chocolate croissants for breakfast with coffee. Bon appetit!
