  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cookies with sour cream and margarine? Prepare your food. I do not recommend replacing margarine with butter - it is this that, due to its vegetable fat content, will give the dough the desired flaky structure. Plus margarine is cheaper.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the margarine in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and melt it on the stove over low heat.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Remove the saucepan from the stove and immediately pour sugar into the melted margarine. Stir it quickly - the sugar will almost completely dissolve in the warm mass. By the way, you can change the amount of sugar depending on your taste. And be sure to add a pinch of salt to balance the taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Beat the egg into a deep bowl. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Beat it lightly with a whisk.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour margarine and sugar into a bowl with the egg, add sour cream. Mix everything until smooth. Add baking soda and stir again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

I did everything with a regular hand whisk; a mixer is not needed at all in this recipe.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Start sifting the flour into the liquid part in portions, kneading the dough well after each addition. Here I stirred with a fork.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

When it becomes difficult to mix with a fork, start kneading with your hands. Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus on the consistency of the dough - it should come together, stop sticking to your hands, but remain soft. It took me a little more flour. Wrap the finished dough in a bag and put it in the freezer for half an hour - the margarine will harden and it will become easier to work with.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

After the allotted time, take out the dough, cut it in half, place one half on the work surface, put the other away again, but in the refrigerator. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a layer 0.5 cm thick. I added a little flour to prevent it from sticking.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Use a cookie cutter to cut out cookies from the dough. If there are no molds, then just a glass. It will be even easier to cut the layer into diamonds.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the cookies on it. Form the remaining dough again, roll it out and cut it. My entire portion of half the dough just fit on one baking sheet.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Bake cookies in an oven preheated to 200°C for 10-15 minutes, depending on the features of your oven. It should turn slightly golden.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

The finished cookies can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. Serve with tea, cocoa, coffee or milk. It is very tasty when warm. Bon appetit!

Quick and tasty homemade cookies made with sour cream and margarine, which are almost always available in any refrigerator. A successful delicacy for children and adults, which is loved by housewives for its ease of preparation and affordable set of ingredients. Fragrant, crumbly and moderately sweet, an excellent addition to morning coffee or evening tea. You get a lot of cookies - enough for the whole family and unexpected guests.
