  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make coffee with cardamom? Prepare your ingredients. I will brew natural ground coffee in a Turk, you can replace it with instant coffee, which you just need to brew with boiling water. Either ground or whole cardamom is suitable, then you will need 3-4 boxes. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour ground coffee, sugar and cardamom into the Turk. You can grind coffee beans and cardamom yourself, then the drink will be even more aromatic.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Fill the coffee with clean cold water until the neck of the Turk expands, stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the Turk on the fire. Next, you can choose 2 cooking options: 1. Bring the coffee to a boil over low heat. When the coffee foam rises to the edges of the Turk, remove it from the heat. Wait until the foam settles, return the Turk to the heat and bring to a boil again. Repeat the procedure 1-2 more times.2. Bring the coffee to a boil over medium heat, then immediately reduce it. Simmer the coffee over low heat for about 4 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the cardamom coffee into cups and serve. Along with coffee, serve 10% fat cream or milk. Bon appetit!

I wanted to experiment with the taste of coffee (I usually drink coffee without flavoring). And I decided to immediately start with something completely new for myself, choosing a recipe for coffee with cardamom. I've heard a lot about this spice, but I've never tried it. I don’t have a Turk, so I made coffee in a coffee maker. I made this coffee recipe twice. The first time, neglecting the amount of ingredients, I made coffee in my usual proportions (300 ml of water, no sugar). I just added half a teaspoon of cardamom directly to the coffee maker. I poured milk into the finished coffee. At first, I didn’t feel any special changes in taste. There was a slight sourness, but nothing more. But there was a persistent aroma of cardamom. After about five minutes, the taste of cardamom became distinct, giving a certain chill to the coffee. The second time I decided to make coffee with the amount of ingredients indicated in the recipe. I even added sugar, although I don’t like sweet coffee. Surprisingly, the sweetness was not particularly noticeable. The sugar rather enhanced the taste of cardamom, although there was no chill as the first time. But with the addition of milk (I had 3.4% fat), I didn’t really like the coffee. The black one turned out much better. But perhaps this is a matter of taste. Thank you very much for the recipe! It was very interesting to experiment with taste.
