Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make an Aperol Spritz cocktail with champagne at home? Prepare the necessary ingredients. The cocktail is prepared in a matter of minutes, but you need to prepare the ice in advance, cool the glasses and all the ingredients. Place ice in a chilled glass. Volume may vary. The recommended amount is 200 g per serving, I fill the glass a little more than half.
STEP 2
Pour in 40 ml of Aperol bitters, 11% strength. It can be replaced with the more common Campari. Bitters are a group of alcoholic drinks that have a bitter taste. These are drinks based on herbs/spicy ingredients, extracts of roots, stems, leaves of plants, considered medicinal and produced by infusion. The strength can reach up to 50%, but there are bitters with a strength of 6-20%.
STEP 3
Add 60 ml of champagne to the glass. The classic version uses dry Prosecco, but even the classic has a lot of options, so choose according to your preference. I used semi-sweet.
STEP 4
Carefully pour in 20 ml of soda. Soda can be replaced with tonic, but this is not for everyone, as it will add additional bitterness. You can make your own soda
STEP 5
Garnish the glass with a slice of orange or tangerine; a slice of citrus can be added directly to the cocktail. All components of the cocktail have different densities, so it should be stirred lightly, but since gas bubbles quickly evaporate, it is better to leave this step to guests. Serve immediately after cooking. This cocktail is usually drunk through a straw.
