STEP 1
How to bake chicken wings in honey-soy sauce in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. If you have frozen chicken wings, you must first defrost them. To do this, leave them for several hours at room temperature or defrost them in the microwave on defrost mode. If the honey is candied, you can warm it up a little in the microwave or in a water bath.
STEP 2
Cut off the smallest part from each chicken wing. It is not needed for cooking. There is almost no meat on it, but it will burn when baked.
STEP 3
For the sauce, take a large bowl and combine soy sauce, honey and vegetable oil in it. Add dried basil, salt and ground pepper. Soy sauce itself is quite salty, so add very little salt or skip it altogether. Mix everything thoroughly.
STEP 4
Place the chicken wings in the bowl with the sauce and mix everything well so that the sauce evenly covers the entire surface of the wings on all sides. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and leave for about an hour at room temperature. During this time, the chicken meat will be soaked in the sauce. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance.
STEP 5
Line a baking sheet with baking paper. It is better not to use foil, as during baking it sticks to the wings and is then difficult to separate. Spread the chicken wings over the entire surface of the baking sheet and place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven.
STEP 6
The finished wings will be a delicious golden color. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the wings on plates.
STEP 7
Serve the finished wings in honey-soy sauce as an independent appetizer or add a side dish of potatoes. Bon appetit!
