Chicken in the oven is delicious and easy whole with crust
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake a chicken in the oven deliciously and simply, whole with a crust? Prepare your ingredients. To prepare chicken baked with bay leaf we will need: chicken weighing 1.4-1.7 kg, bay leaves, garlic, ground black pepper and salt.
STEP 2
Wash the chicken and dry it.
STEP 3
Season the bird with salt and ground pepper, inside and out.
STEP 4
Peel the garlic. Place all the garlic and 2-3 bay leaves inside the carcass.
STEP 5
Using a sharp, thin knife, separate the skin from the meat on the breast and evenly distribute the remaining bay leaves underneath.
STEP 6
Brush the chicken with olive oil and place in a baking dish or skewer. Personally, when baking, the chicken released a lot of liquid and fat, so it’s good that I decided to bake it in a deep pan, and not on a spit, as I had originally planned.
STEP 7
Bake the chicken for about 1 hour at 180°C until golden brown. The finished chicken can be served with any side dish, for example, boiled potatoes, rice. Bon appetit!
