Chicken drumsticks baked in foil in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to bake chicken drumsticks in foil in the oven? First, prepare the necessary ingredients. In addition to chicken legs, you can use chicken fillet, thighs or whole legs. You can replace it with store-bought ground coriander - it’s the same thing.
STEP 2
Wash the chicken drumsticks and dry them.
STEP 3
Grind the cilantro seeds in a coffee grinder. Determine the degree of grinding yourself as you like. I ground it finely, but not quite to dust. If you don't have a coffee grinder, a hand-held spice grinder will also work. Well, as a last resort, you can just put the grains in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin! Cilantro seeds are commonly sold in stores under the name Coriander (seeds).
STEP 4
Grate the garlic on a fine grater or pass through a press.
STEP 5
Place mayonnaise in a bowl with the chicken legs, add chopped coriander, garlic, salt and pepper.
STEP 6
Mix everything thoroughly so that the legs are covered on all sides with the aromatic mayonnaise mixture.
STEP 7
Cover the bowl with the chicken with plastic wrap and let marinate for 1 hour at room temperature, or in the refrigerator if longer. I left the chicken in the refrigerator overnight.
STEP 8
Place the marinated drumsticks individually on small sheets of foil. Coat with the remaining mayonnaise marinade. Sprinkle ground paprika on top of each leg.
STEP 9
Carefully wrap the legs in foil, being careful not to seal the meat tightly. If the foil fits too tightly, it will most likely stick to the meat and come off only with the skin.
STEP 10
Place the legs in foil on a baking sheet lined with parchment or foil. Bake the chicken drumsticks in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 45 minutes.
STEP 11
Then unwrap the foil and return the legs to the oven for another 10-15 minutes or a little longer until slightly crispy.
STEP 12
While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In principle, you can do without it, but with the sauce it turns out much tastier. Therefore, I advise you not to be lazy and prepare it, especially since it requires very few ingredients, and only takes five minutes to do.
STEP 13
Peel the garlic and pass through a press or grate on a fine grater.
STEP 14
Wash the cilantro, dry it and finely chop it with a knife.
STEP 15
In a container, combine clean drinking water, tomato paste and garlic and stir until smooth.
STEP 16
Taste the sauce. Add chopped cilantro, ground pepper and salt to taste to the sauce. Mix everything again.
STEP 17
Place the finished legs on a plate and serve with tomato sauce. Bon appetit!
