Cheese baskets for salad
0Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Grate the cheese. It seems to me from experience that really hard cheeses like Parmesan, or a mixture of hard and semi-hard ones, are more suitable. Also, if the cheese contains a lot of different substitutes, powders and unknown fat, it spreads into mush and does not fry properly. Therefore, if the basket doesn’t work out, it’s the cheese.
STEP 2

Place parchment paper (silicone coated or silicone mat) on a baking sheet and cheese on it. Make the outline round, oval, square, it affects the shape of the future basket. Maybe something fancy. And place in the oven for 10 minutes (ideally, Grill mode). You can also do it in a non-stick frying pan.
STEP 3

Prepare an inverted vessel (bowl, glass...)
STEP 4

Remove the finished soft cheese cake from the baking sheet and place it on a bowl.
STEP 5

Press with your hands and let cool. If the cheese is thin and may break, cover with a wet napkin and carefully shape it. Let it harden with a napkin, and then remove everything.
STEP 6

Place the basket on a serving platter.
STEP 7

Top with your favorite salad - from Caesar to Olivier.
