Great filling for sweet pastries!!! This filling is very easy to prepare. The products are very simple, you only need a small amount of them, but the result is very tasty. A very tasty filling for sweet pastries. This amount of ingredients is enough to prepare the filling for 1 pie or 12-15 pies. In my childhood there were no Snickers and Mars, but there was condensed milk, toffee and my mother’s yeast pies - meat, cabbage and sweet. And most often there were pies with carrot filling. For some reason I have never made these for my child, but now I found the recipe in an old cookbook. Try it too, it’s very tasty! By the way, there are several ways to prepare sweet carrot filling. In one version, the carrots are first boiled whole, then peeled, minced in a meat grinder and sprinkled with sugar. But it seems to me that with this method, the beneficial substances from the carrots will go into the water, which we will then simply pour out. But I would like to keep at least something useful in carrots, so I do it differently.

Yes, no Mars or Snickers can compare with mom’s pies. It’s right that you decided to pass on the baton taken over from your mother to your daughter. After all, she will also have something to remember in adulthood. If I prepare carrot filling, I will prefer the same method that you used, i.e. First I chop it, then I put it out. But for now I have my eye on carrot cake. And then there will be pies. And your pies are so gorgeous.

Julia, I liked the second method of preparing the filling better, why grind it through a meat grinder, waste time, then wash it, when it’s easier to do it the same way as in the second method, this way the carrots turn out juicier and the beneficial substances do not boil out of them, I agree with Anait. You can also make pancakes with this filling!
