So, take a couple of large carrots, wash them thoroughly, peel them with a vegetable peeler

Grate carrots on a coarse grater

Transfer to a small saucepan. I like to use ceramic coated pans because they don't cause food to stick. Sprinkle the carrots with sugar, literally pour 1-2 tablespoons of water and leave to simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
STEP 5
During this time, the carrots will become soft, but will not boil to the point of porridge. Pour just a little water, because the carrots will still give their juice. When stewing, excess moisture will evaporate, and the carrots will turn out very tender. Add butter to the finished carrots, mix and cool to room temperature
STEP 6
Now the filling can be used for baking
STEP 7
