Cake Broken glass with sour cream and jelly
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a Broken Glass cake with sour cream and jelly? To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use jelly in any color and flavor. I have jelly from orange, mango, kiwi and cherry. Take thick sour cream, 20% fat content. You can replace sugar with any suitable sweetener.
STEP 2
Distribute the jelly powder among 4 glasses. With constant stirring, pour 150 ml of boiling water into each. Stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.
STEP 3
Pour the resulting jelly of different colors into molds and refrigerate for 4-6 hours until completely set. You can pour the jelly into silicone ice molds.
STEP 4
Then carefully remove the jelly from the molds and cut into small cubes. While making the sour cream base, return the jelly cubes to the refrigerator.
STEP 5
Now prepare the sour cream base. You can use sour cream with a fat content of 15% or higher. The main thing is that the sour cream is not very watery. Keep in mind that the calorie content of the dish will depend on this. I have 20% sour cream. You can increase or decrease the amount of sugar according to your taste. Vanillin can be replaced with 1 tbsp. l. vanilla sugar.
STEP 6
Pour gelatin with cold water and leave to swell for 20 minutes. Then dissolve the gelatin over low heat or in the microwave until completely dissolved. Do not bring to a boil. Read the instructions on the gelatin package - it may have a different cooking technology. Cool the gelatin slightly.
STEP 7
In a bowl, mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Leave until the sugar is completely dissolved. While constantly stirring vigorously, pour the gelatin into the sour cream mixture. I beat the mixture with a mixer at low speed so that the gelatin spreads evenly.
STEP 8
Place some colorful jelly cubes on the bottom of a silicone baking dish (Ø 20 cm) or in a deep bowl lined with cling film.
STEP 9
Pour some of the sour cream on top. Repeat layers until all ingredients are gone.
STEP 10
Place the filled form in the refrigerator overnight to completely harden.
STEP 11
Before serving, invert the cake onto a plate and remove from the pan. To make the cake easier to separate from the mold, you can lower the mold into hot water for a few seconds, being careful not to let the water get on the jelly. Cut the broken glass cake into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!
