Cabbage with ham

Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

Cut the carrots into strips or grate them on a coarse grater.

Cut the ham into strips.
STEP 5

Heat a deep frying pan, add 2-3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Place onions and carrots in a frying pan and fry for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Add the ham and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
STEP 6

We cut the tomatoes into halves, grate the pulp on a fine grater, the skin should remain in our hands, we throw it away.
STEP 7

Add chopped chili to the pan.
STEP 8

And puree with tomatoes, mix and simmer for several minutes.
STEP 9

Finely chop the cabbage.
STEP 10

Add the cabbage to the frying pan and fry and simmer over medium heat until tender; if there is not enough juice from the tomato, then add a little water during simmering. Add salt and pepper to the cabbage to taste, and add a bay leaf if desired.
STEP 11

Sprinkle the finished cabbage with fresh herbs and serve. Bon appetit!
