Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make fresh cabbage filling for egg pies? Prepare the necessary ingredients. The first step is to hard-boil chicken eggs. Cook them for about 12-15 minutes from the moment the water boils, then cool by pouring cold water over them. Peel the cooled eggs and chop finely.
STEP 2

It is better to use young and juicy cabbage, since it will be used fresh. Clean the head of cabbage from the top dry and dirty leaves. Cut out the stalk. Cut the cabbage into several pieces so that it is convenient to chop in a food processor or blender.
STEP 3

Place the chopped cabbage in a food processor or blender bowl.
STEP 4

Chop the cabbage and then place it in a deep bowl. Squeeze out excess juice.
STEP 5

Add chopped eggs and salt to taste to the cabbage. Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath, cool to room temperature and add to the cabbage filling. Mix everything thoroughly.
STEP 6

The cabbage and egg filling for the pies is ready. If you wish and taste, you can add finely chopped fresh herbs to the filling. All that remains is to prepare or use already prepared dough, shape, fry or bake pies. Both yeast and unleavened dough are suitable for this filling, and the pies will be delicious both fried in a frying pan and baked in the oven. Bon appetit!
