    STEP 1

How to bake buns from yeast dough with butter? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Remove 20 grams of butter from the refrigerator in advance, and leave 15 grams in the refrigerator. Before buying yeast, read the instructions. Since there is fast-acting yeast that mixes with flour immediately. In the same recipe you will need yeast, which is diluted with liquid. Read about the types of yeast and replacement methods in the article below the steps.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a bowl, mix warm milk and water, heated to a temperature of 37-40°C, dissolve sugar and yeast. I usually scatter the yeast over the surface without stirring so that it does not stick to the spoon. Leave in a warm place for 15 minutes. There should be a foam cap on the surface. This means that the yeast is active and you can knead the dough further. If this does not happen, baking will not work.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Sift flour and salt into another bowl. It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. This will make the buns softer and rise well during baking. Read more about flour in the article below the steps. Make a well in the flour. Pour in the activated yeast and stir. If you have a kitchen machine, you can knead the dough in it.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

During the process, add 20 grams of soft butter and continue kneading the dough for about 10 minutes. Then grease your hands with vegetable oil and continue kneading, stretching and folding the dough, for about 5 more minutes. If the dough is still sticky and you need even more flour than the recipe, it is better not to beat the dough with flour, otherwise the finished dough will be too dense and tasteless.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Form the dough into a ball, brush it with vegetable oil and place in a bowl.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cover the bowl with a towel and leave the dough in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Divide the dough into 5-6 equal parts. Form each part into an even ball.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet at a distance from each other. Cover with cling film and leave in a warm place to rise for 45 minutes. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article about the features of parchment, the link is at the end of the recipe. Turn on the oven to 230 degrees in advance.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Sprinkle the risen buns with flour sifted through a sieve.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Using a sharp knife, make a small cut in the top of the workpieces. Place a slice of the remaining cold butter into each cut.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Bake the buns in an oven preheated to 230℃ for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown. I baked in the top-bottom mode. If you wish, you can first place a baking sheet with water on the bottom of the oven. Read more about how to choose the right baking time and temperature in the article. The link is at the end of the recipe.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Cool the finished buns with butter on a wire rack and serve. Bon appetit!

I baked buns with butter for breakfast. I prepared it for 3 servings, as indicated in the recipe. When I kneaded the dough, it seemed too tight to me, but as I kneaded it it became more and more elastic. In total, I kneaded the dough for about 13 minutes. It took me a little over an hour for the dough to rise. I divided it into six pieces. They didn't turn out very big. I let the pieces stand for another 40 minutes. I baked the buns for a little over 15 minutes: the first five minutes on the middle level of the oven and the rest of the time on the highest. The buns turned out soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. They are neutral in taste, so they go with everything. I served with butter and blueberry jam. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!
