  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make brown rice pilaf with chicken? To prepare pilaf, prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any part of the chicken. I'll cook it with chicken fillet. Peel onions, garlic and carrots and rinse in running water to remove dirt.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the chicken into small pieces of approximately the same size.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat until hot. Add chopped chicken. Fry it over high heat until golden brown. Remember to stir periodically to prevent the meat from burning.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

While the chicken is roasting, start with the vegetables. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add chopped vegetables to the frying pan with the meat. Mix everything. Fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Rinse brown rice a couple of times. This rice is much cleaner than white rice. Therefore, 1-2 times are enough for washing.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add the washed rice to the frying pan with the meat. Fill everything with hot water so that it almost covers all the ingredients. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Add garlic. Why hot water? Adding hot water does not cause a temperature difference, which can have a negative effect on cooking meat. And the rice will start cooking immediately, without wasting time heating the water. Accordingly, it will take a little less time to cook.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

As a spice, you can use a ready-made pilaf kit. Cook the pilaf, covered, over low heat for 30-40 minutes. During this time, the rice will absorb all the liquid and will be much softer.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place the finished pilaf on prepared plates and serve hot. Before serving, you can sprinkle a little chopped fresh herbs. Bon appetit!
