    STEP 1

How to bake pork belly in foil in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take chilled pork belly that has not yet been frozen. Otherwise, when defrosting, all the juices will come out of it and the finished dish will turn out dry. I like to use brisket with just enough meat. The small amount of lard that it contains is quite enough to make the piece juicy. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the pork belly in running water and dry well with a paper towel to remove all excess moisture from the surface of the piece. Peel the garlic. Using a sharp knife, make slits in the sides of the brisket and insert the garlic cloves. If the garlic cloves are very large, then each clove can be cut into 2-3 parts.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then sprinkle the brisket pieces with salt, ground pepper and spices to your liking. I used paprika. Rub the salt and spices into the piece with your hands.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the prepared brisket on a sheet of foil. Place a few bay leaves on top.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wrap the brisket tightly in foil so that there are no holes left anywhere. If necessary, you can take another sheet of foil. Place the wrapped piece in a metal baking dish and place in the oven preheated to 190 degrees for about 1.5 hours. The exact time depends on your oven. Why do you need a metal mold? It is best suited for dry baking. Ceramic or glass can crack from excessive heat.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Due to the fact that the piece is tightly wrapped, it will not fall apart during cooking. After the specified time, remove the pan from the oven. Using a sharp knife, cut through the foil and let sit for a couple of minutes. During this time, the heat will come out of the dish and it can be transferred to a dish.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The finished brisket can be immediately cut into pieces and enjoyed. Or you can put it in the refrigerator until it cools completely. Once cooled, it will be convenient to cut into thin slices for sandwiches. Bon appetit!

At my husband's request, I baked brisket according to the recipe for brisket in foil baked in the oven. Before starting to cook, I weighed the meat, the scales showed almost 1.5 kg. In general, it was necessary to cut it into two parts, but since the piece came with bones, I left it as is. I stuffed the brisket with garlic, salted it, added Provençal herbs and bay leaves, wrapped it in two layers of foil and put it in a preheated oven. I baked it for 1.5 hours at a temperature of 220°. I placed the finished meat on a plate, let it cool, and then cut it into pieces. It turned out very tasty! The meat turned out soft and flavorful. They ate it both warm and chilled with fresh rye bread. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Good afternoon The author uses foil incorrectly; the shiny side should be towards the meat. This is written in the instructions for the foil. Otherwise, aluminum gets into food and is not removed from the body, poisoning it.

Today I cooked pork according to this recipe. Although I didn’t have brisket, but a piece of meatball with a small amount of lard, I still decided to use this simple recipe. Nothing extra, no need to marinate in advance, I quickly prepared the meat and put it in the oven. From the spices I took red and black pepper, salt, and a little ready-made seasoning for meat. I also made small cuts in the meat and inserted chopped garlic cloves. The meat turned out wonderful!!! Juicy, aromatic, very tasty. I kept it in the oven longer. Julia, thank you very much for the recipe. I recommend the recipe. Simple, fast and tasty. Here is my photo report)))
