  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare beef liver in sour cream, you do not need a lot of products, time and effort to prepare the dish. It is better to use fresh, chilled beef liver. We thoroughly wash the liver under running water, cut off the films and cut it into small pieces or strips, as you like. We wash the liver again and let the water drain, discarding the pieces in a colander.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Turn on the fire. Place the cooked onions in the oil. Fry it until transparent.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add chopped beef liver to the onions.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Fry it for 15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spatula so that the liver browns on both sides. The frying time depends on the size of the pieces into which the liver was cut. Then put sour cream in the frying pan with the liver (it is better to use thicker sour cream), pour in water, add salt and ground black pepper. Immediately mix the mixture with the liver with a spatula so that the spices and sauce mix well and saturate the liver.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the liver over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Then remove the lid and stir. In a third of a glass of water, dilute one and a half tablespoons of wheat flour, mix so that it does not form lumps. Pour the flour mixture into the pan with the liver and stir. Cover the pan again with a lid and simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Turn off the fire. Let the dish sit on the stove for a while under the lid.

    STEP 7

We serve the liver in sour cream sauce at the table as an independent dish, simply with bread, or supplement it with boiled pasta, mashed potatoes or another side dish. Bon appetit!
