  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Prepare ingredients for cooking fried bananas in a frying pan in batter. You will need medium ripe bananas, milk, wheat flour, a little turmeric and ground cinnamon, as well as vegetable oil for frying and powdered sugar for decorating the finished dish.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First you need to prepare the batter (this is a viscous dough with the consistency of medium-fat sour cream). In a bowl, combine sifted wheat flour, turmeric (this spice will give the dish a light yellowish tint), ground cinnamon (this is for aroma and pleasant taste). Stir.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Start adding milk in small portions, constantly stirring the batter. At first the dough will be thick, very thick, but as milk is added it will become more and more liquid. By adding a liquid ingredient to the dry ingredients, you will avoid the appearance of unpleasant and difficult to remove lumps in the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Carefully peel the bananas. Cut the banana pulp into “pucks” about 1 cm thick. Heat a large amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan, using two forks, dip each “puck” into the batter and then transfer it to hot oil.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Fry bananas in batter over high heat until browned. Place the finished fried bananas in a frying pan in batter on paper napkins or a towel to remove excess oil. Serve the finished dish immediately after cooking while the dough is crispy. Before serving, sprinkle the battered bananas with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!

I’ve cooked a lot of things in batter, but I’ve never heard of bananas in batter. I decided to try it. They are quick and easy to prepare, I just quickly fried them for breakfast. I used a little less flour in the batter. My kids don’t like cinnamon, so I didn’t add it. I noticed that the batter adheres perfectly to the banana pieces and does not peel off after cooling. You get these little sweet pies. The bananas inside became soft, the color did not change and they seemed to taste sweeter. With powdered sugar, battered bananas look elegant and the taste also becomes a little different. A very interesting dish, my children and I are happy! I like such unusual recipes)
