  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

    Remove the skin.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Cut into pieces. Pass the apple pulp through a grater and sprinkle it with sugar, thoroughly mixing the two ingredients. If the apple variety itself is sweet, it is advisable to add less sugar. Accordingly, if they are almost not sweet, you will have to add a larger proportion of sugar than indicated in the composition.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Leave the grated and candied apples for 10 minutes to release their juices. When the juice has accumulated, pour it along with the apples into a wide container and place it on the stove. We begin to cook, while setting the heat to low. How to choose a pan, read the article at the end of the recipe.

  6. STEP 6

As it boils, the apple mass will become denser and more transparent. You must constantly monitor it and stop the process when the apple confiture reaches a suitable state. Just before the end of cooking, pour cinnamon into the mixture and stir with a spoon.

I made apple confiture for the winter to use as a filling for sweet pies. I took 1.5 kg of apples, 750 g of sugar, I did not add cinnamon to the confiture. I peeled the apples (their weight without skins and cores decreased to a kilogram), grated them on a coarse grater, covered them with sugar and left for 10 minutes. When the juice stood out, I put the apples along with the juice into the pan. Cooked for about 40 minutes, stirring constantly, until the confiture became dense. It turned out thick, sweet, and a beautiful amber color. The apples became transparent during cooking. When I closed the jars, there was a little confiture left, we ate it with pleasure! Thank you very much for the recipe!
