Turkey pastrami

A luxurious appetizer of tender and juicy turkey will decorate your party. Turkey meat turns out very juicy and tender in taste. In addition, this pastrami is an excellent replacement for store-bought sausage. Looks beautiful both on sandwiches and as a slice for a holiday table.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make turkey pastrami? Prepare the ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First, make the brine. Dissolve salt, sugar in water, add spices, mix everything.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the washed turkey fillet in brine and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

After 2 hours, make our marinade.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix honey, vegetable oil, finely chopped garlic, paprika and your favorite herbs.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Remove our fillet from the brine, dry and rub with marinade.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

To give it shape, we wrap our meat with thread.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the prepared fillet in a baking dish (I use a glass one with a lid, but you can bake it either in a sleeve or in a simple form without a lid, but cover the form with foil for the first 30 minutes). Pour half a glass of water into the bottom of the mold (the water should cover the bottom of the mold), cover with a lid and place in the oven for 30 minutes at 220C

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake for another half hour to form a golden brown crust, periodically coat the surface of the meat with the juice from the bottom of the pan. Let the meat cool and serve the turkey pastrami to the table. Bon appetit!!

A very good recipe for preparing such dietary meat. I've heard how pastrami is prepared before, but in your recipe it should taste more interesting due to the brine. I'll definitely take note.

Irisha, your pastrami looks so beautiful, I’ve never tried anything like this, the fillet is so full and dense, you can immediately see its juiciness and saturation with mrinade.

verona11, be sure to try it, the brine really makes the meat very tender and juicy. I even often leave it in brine overnight if I have time.

Shura, thank you very much for the nice words! try to cook it, it’s a very tasty alternative to store-bought sausages, I use the same principle to cook chicken fillet, only then I reduce the baking time.
