  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make tomatoes in the snow with garlic for the winter? Wash liter jars thoroughly with baking soda. Then sterilize in any way convenient for you: in the oven, microwave or over steam. Which tomatoes to choose? Take fruits that are small in size, without damage, ripe, fleshy, but dense. Tomatoes that are too soft will fall apart in boiling water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the tomatoes well. Place on a towel and dry. Before placing tomatoes in containers, pierce them with a toothpick in several places so that when pouring hot marinade, their skin does not burst. Pack the tomatoes (as many as will fit) tightly into two prepared jars. Boil filtered water. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes. Let them sit for 20 minutes, covering the jars with lids. Drain the water into a saucepan. Add sugar, salt. Boil it.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the garlic and grate the cloves on a medium or coarse grater. There should be 2 tablespoons of garlic mass. To chop the garlic, you can use a blender or chop the cloves as finely as possible with a knife. You should not use a garlic press. Passing garlic through a press will make the marinade cloudy.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place one tablespoon of grated garlic among the jars of tomatoes. Pour 9% vinegar (1 tbsp) into each jar. Pour in hot marinade. Roll up the lids. Shake slightly so that the garlic mass is distributed throughout the jar. It really looks like white snow. Turn the jars over. Wrap them in a blanket and leave them until they cool completely.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Store the preserved food in a cool, dark place (cellar, balcony, refrigerator). Bon appetit!

Just prepare this preparation for the winter from tomatoes. The tomatoes made from this recipe are delicious. True, I couldn’t resist and added another sprig of dill to each jar. Many thanks to the author of the recipe!
