Tincture of galangal root with moonshine
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare this tincture you will need: galangal root, licorice, honey, coffee beans and moonshine.
STEP 2

Pour dried galangal rhizomes into a clean, dry container.
STEP 3

Add a teaspoon of crushed dry licorice (also called licorice).
STEP 4

Now is the time to add the whole coffee beans. There is no need to grind them; they will perfectly impart all their aroma to the tincture.
STEP 5

After this, add a teaspoon of liquid honey to the container. If you have candied honey, you must first melt it in a water bath.
STEP 6

And the last step: fill the resulting dry mixture with moonshine.
STEP 7

Mix the future tincture thoroughly and cover the container with a lid or paper napkin. Leave the tincture to mature for at least seven days, and ideally ten or more days.
STEP 8

This is what galangal milk should look like on the third day of infusion. Stir the contents thoroughly once every day to better mix all the ingredients.
STEP 9

Before serving, the tincture must be strained. To do this, take a strainer and four cosmetic cotton pads. Distribute cotton pads on the bottom. Place the strainer on the funnel. And strain the tincture into the bottle or decanter in which you plan to store the drink.
