How to bake puff pastries with sugar in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Buy puff pastry in the store, but it is better to take the dough in plates - they are easier to cut and faster to defrost or cook yourself. At the end of the recipe you will find a link to recipes for homemade puff pastry. If you have store-bought dough, then remove it from the freezer and let it defrost.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer no more than 5 mm thick. If the dough is ready in plates, then you do not need to roll it out much. Cut the dough into equal rectangles or squares.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Sprinkle the puffs evenly with sugar. Transfer the dough pieces to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Leave the puff pastries to prove for 10-15 minutes. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 20 minutes until a golden crust appears on the surface of the dough. Do not open the oven while baking. Time and temperature are approximate, use your equipment as a guide. Read more about ovens in the article at the end of this recipe.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Remove the finished yeast-free puff pastry puffs from the oven, cool slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve along with aromatic hot tea, coffee or cocoa. Bon appetit!

I still had an extra piece of puff pastry weighing 250 g. I didn’t want to freeze it again, so I baked puff pastries with sugar. This is the easiest and fastest baking option. At the same time, the puff pastries turn out delicious, and what I like best is to separate the slices and eat them separately). I gave the dough a round shape and cut it into 8 pieces. I transferred the “tongues” to a form covered with parchment. I still had some whipped yolk left, so I brushed it on the future puff pastries. And generously sprinkled sugar on top. My puff pastries were baked for 25 minutes. The puff pastries turned out rosy, appetizing and tasty. The dough was yeast-free, so they didn’t rise much. But all the layers were separated from each other, just the way I like it. Thank you very much for the recipe!
