Sea buckthorn oil

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make sea buckthorn oil at home? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. The most important thing is to find good raw materials, that is, sea buckthorn grown in environmentally friendly places. Sort the sea buckthorn, remove spoiled and rotten berries, rinse thoroughly under running water. Let the berries dry by sprinkling them on a paper towel. It is better to use natural olive oil as an oil base.
STEP 2

There are several ways to prepare sea buckthorn oil at home. It is made from sea buckthorn seeds, from cake, from fresh berries, from juice or using the hot method by heating. One of the easiest ways is to prepare oil from sea buckthorn cake. Using a juicer or hand masher, squeeze the juice out of the sea buckthorn berries. Juice is not needed to make butter. It can be used to prepare other dishes, fruit drinks, desserts, and sauces.
STEP 3

Place the pulp into a deep bowl. You should not use metal, glass is best. Fill the cake with base oil, such as olive oil. There should be two parts oil for three parts cake. Cover the container with the workpiece with a lid, leaving a small gap. Place the container with the oil in a dark place at room temperature for one week.
STEP 4

After a while, remove the container and strain the oil through a fine sieve. Make a new batch of cake from fresh berries. And fill it with the oil already infused on the first cake. Also keep it in a dark, warm place for a week. Drain the oil again and carefully squeeze out the remaining oil from the cake. Strain through cheesecloth. Concentrated sea buckthorn oil is ready.
STEP 5

It is better to store home-made sea buckthorn oil in the refrigerator, always in a dark glass container. But it is not advisable to use such oil if it costs more than one year. A high-quality natural product is ready for use in business, but, of course, the use of such products is allowed with prior consultation with a specialist.
