  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make homemade salted garlic? Prepare the necessary ingredients. The garlic should be dry and free of damage and rot. If you want the appetizer to be more piquant, you can add a piece of horseradish root and a pod of hot pepper to the garlic.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Divide the garlic into cloves and peel them. Cut off the rough ends on both sides of the cloves. Rinse and dry the garlic.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

The garlic cloves need to be quickly blanched to remove excess bitterness. To do this, immerse it in a container of hot water for 30 seconds, then drain the water.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sterilize small jars in advance using one of the convenient methods: in a water bath, in the microwave or in the oven, rinse the lids and boil. Place the prepared garlic in jars.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Prepare the marinade. To do this, pour clean filtered water into an enamel bowl, add sugar, salt, bay leaf and peppercorns; you can use any other spices if desired. Bring the marinade to a boil over medium heat, simmer for about 5 minutes, pour in table vinegar and turn off the heat. Let the marinade cool.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the cooled marinade over the garlic in the jars up to the shoulders, but make sure the marinade completely covers the garlic. Roll up the jars with lids and leave them upside down under the “fur coat” until they cool completely. Store the workpiece in a cool place. Bon appetit!

Now is the hot time for winter preparations. Cucumbers, tomatoes, salads... This year I have a lot of jars of goodies that will come in handy during the winter. I decided to add something new to the usual canned food for variety and prepared garlic according to your recipe, with small additions. I also added dill umbrellas that were left over from other preparations.
