Raisin tincture on moonshine
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
To prepare raisins using moonshine, you will need high-quality homemade moonshine, without fusel smell, well filtered, double, or better yet, triple distillation. Ideal if it is related, that is, cooked with raisins. Plus you will need: seedless raisins, ground hot pepper, orange zest, cinnamon stick, allspice bud and vanilla pod.
STEP 2
So, raisins of the “Kish-mish” variety should be sorted out of debris and twigs and washed thoroughly under running water. Place in a colander and let the water drain.
STEP 3
Add raisins to the bottle of moonshine.
STEP 4
Remove the zest from the orange, being careful not to touch the bitter white part (otherwise the drink will be unpleasantly bitter). Pepper the tincture to taste, but the main thing is not to overdo it with pepper.
STEP 5
Add cloves and cinnamon stick. Literally break off three centimeters from a vanilla pod and add it to the bottle along with the seeds. Keep the tincture in a dark place for a week, periodically stirring the contents by shaking. Then filter in any convenient way.
