Prune tincture with moonshine

STEP 1
How to make prune tincture with moonshine at home? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Depending on the purpose of preparing the tincture, the methods and set of ingredients are different. If you want a healthier version of the tincture, then in addition to prunes, you can use other medicinal herbs and spices to give a pleasant aroma and taste to the drink. Moonshine must be of good quality, purified. If there is no moonshine, then replace it with vodka.
STEP 2
Use pitted prunes for the tincture; if they have pits, you need to remove them. Rinse the prunes well in running water. Since we are making a tincture, not a wine, we don’t need fermentation. Cut the prunes into several pieces.
STEP 3
In addition to prunes, you can add a few peas of allspice, cloves, if you like the taste of cinnamon or vanillin, you can add these spices. But in any case, the main thing is moderation; excess spices can drown out and spoil the natural taste of the drink. Dry additives can be crushed with a rolling pin to better release the aroma of the drink, or they can be left whole; the tincture will still acquire a spice flavor.
STEP 4
Place the prunes and additives in a clean glass container and fill the contents with moonshine. Close the container with a rubber or nylon lid and put it in a dark place at room temperature for 10-15 days.
STEP 5
During this period, take out the container with prunes every day and shake the mixture for better infusion.
STEP 6
After a while, strain the drink through gauze folded in several layers and pour into glass bottles, close them with lids and put them in a cool place for further storage. The longer the drink sits, the darker its color and richer its taste. This tincture can be stored for about a year if storage conditions are met. When drinking alcoholic beverages, be careful!
