I cooked potatoes in a steamer for my dad, who does not eat fried foods and does not eat salt. Potatoes in this form are much more interesting than just boiled ones. I peeled the tubers and cut them into large cubes. I rinsed the slices well in water and placed them in a bowl with holes for a multicooker. I poured cold water into the lower bowl and added a bay leaf for flavor. Lightly sprinkled the potatoes with paprika. Steamed it for 30 minutes. This time was just enough for the potatoes to be ready, but not boiled. By the way, I have a “winter” variety with red skin. White potatoes will be ready faster. I liked that the slices remained intact, but at the same time the potatoes were soft and tender, not watery.
