Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 7 day
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

I started my work with something that takes a long time to dry - SAILS. It’s better to have a week in reserve so you don’t have to worry about something not drying out. I used 4 types of mastic for the cake, this is my intuitive opinion, but whoever is used to it) For the sails I used marshmallow mastic with butter, it retains its plasticity, does not dry out on the stone and will not fall off with sudden movements. First, we cut out the intended sails from paper .

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

then we prepare the tools - pliers (were bought only for working with cakes), a ruler, a knife, and consumables - I have sushi sticks, stainless steel wire.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

The stainless steel wire should not be thin so that it holds its shape well and not galvanized, compatible with food products.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

I remembered that I forgot to take a photo when the sails were already ready. It is necessary to cut the wire along the upper and lower width of each sail, but always with a margin for the loop. We wrap the skewer with wire and cross it. It turns out to be a loop. We make a loop that moves freely along the skewer. This is necessary in order to freely put the finished mastic sail on the skewer. In the photo there is a loop, since the wire is over, its width should correspond to the width of the edge of the sail.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

we apply and cut out sail niches from the mastic, we also take some extra at the top and bottom to wrap around the wire. We make the last hole at the bottom of the sail for the loop. We secure the edges around with a wire, moisten it with some water to hold it in place.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

we put our sails on a skewer, clamp the loops with pliers, fix our sails and put something under the edges, give them a shape and leave them to dry. I made sails from this site, everything is written here in great detail, I just changed the shape a little. https://clck.ru/Qcmsj

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We cut out a pattern for our boat from paper. I made a Napoleon honey cake, the recipe is in my cookbook. The dough shrinks a lot when cutting and moving, so it’s better to take it with a reserve. Don’t try too hard, you’ll still need to level it and the remains will also go away)

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

We coat our cake with sour cream and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to soak, so that it is easier to cut.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

We apply our pattern and trace it along the very edge, making a shape.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

cover it with our mastic cream (mixed butter melted at room temperature with condensed milk)

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

    cut out the middle

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

and put our middle on the back of the ship, level it

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

We coat the places with mastic cream, although we could have cut them out right away and then coated everything)) Place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Take it out of the refrigerator and flatten it again.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

and so on from all sides. I trimmed a little at the bottom for a more realistic shape. All scraps were placed on the bow of the ship.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

We roll out our chokomastika, I also have the recipe in the book. Only in the recipe I gave more powdered sugar, it’s harder to work with, but it sits well, like real boards. To make it less hard, I took it in small portions and put it in the microwave for a few seconds. I decided to take the shape of the boards from a small ruler and simply cut it out.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

I went through it with a knife to give it the look of wood.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Let's be patient and move forward))

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

and so on from all sides

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

Let's arrange our boards so that they are as realistic as possible. We go over the top with an iron, leveling the surface.

  21. STEP 21

    STEP 21

I decided to decorate the middle and back parts of the ship with a pattern like this.

  22. STEP 22

    STEP 22

    it turned out quite original))

  23. STEP 23

    STEP 23

This is how it looks like on a finished ship.

  24. STEP 24

    STEP 24

We also make the chest in advance. I used mastic from baby food, it is very tasty and hardens well. The chest had a recess, M was poured into it

  25. STEP 25

    STEP 25

I had the steering wheel and anchor from mold, the lifebuoy is easy to make.

  26. STEP 26

    STEP 26

I cut out the windows at random, painted them with kandurin, guns in a similar scenario, a black gun barrel with purchased mastic, only it is glued to dry kandurin. I also made columns.

  27. STEP 27

    STEP 27

I painted skulls on the sails and painted the edges with kandurin for an old-fashioned effect. I made a black flag from purchased mastic and made a mistake; when applying a design to it, one of my flags simply fell off(

  28. STEP 28

    STEP 28

on the front part I made a floor from narrow boards using the same principle.

  29. STEP 29

    STEP 29

Well, what would a pirate ship be without a cannon, I sculpted it without a master class, just from a picture I found. I have hazelnut kernels in chocolate, glued together with mastic.

  30. STEP 30

    STEP 30

and of course, whatever you name the ship, that’s how it will sail! The letters are from mold, it’s easier and faster)) To make our ship shine, we dilute honey and vodka in equal proportions and cover it with a brush. I made some water or our sea)) from protein cream, don’t scold me for the first time, I haven’t worked with a pastry bag before.

  31. STEP 31

    STEP 31

The birthday girl is 5 years old, this must be recorded)
