  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Ingredients: For the filling, I used ready-made ground poppy seeds with sugar (leftover from another recipe, so no photo). You can simply buy ready-made poppy seeds or pour boiling water over dry poppy seeds for 15 minutes, drain the water, and grind the poppy seeds in a mortar with sugar. Use sugar to taste.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

For pancake dough. Mix together flour, sugar and salt.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, beat 2 eggs into it and pour in a third of the milk. Mix the mixture thoroughly until you obtain a smooth, thick dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Gradually adding milk, bring the dough to your desired consistency. Leave the dough for 15-20 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

    Meanwhile, finely chop the nuts.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix the nuts and poppy seeds together.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour 2-3 tbsp into the pancake dough. l. vegetable oil.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Fry the pancakes on both sides in a well-heated frying pan. For the first pancake, grease the pan with a thin layer of vegetable oil.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Apply a thin layer of filling onto the finished pancake and wrap it in a tube.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Serve with your favorite sauce, jam or honey. I served with chocolate sauce. For him, I mixed together 40 g of finely chopped dark chocolate, 1 tbsp. l. milk and 1 tbsp. l. condensed milk. The resulting mixture was heated in the microwave until the chocolate dissolved. Just be careful not to overheat the mixture so that the chocolate does not curdle. Let the sauce cool slightly before serving. Bon appetit!

Whoever tells me that he doesn’t believe in coincidences, now I won’t agree with him. I was just thinking about pancakes... Or more precisely: what new and interesting filling to choose for them. And here you are: this miracle recipe appears. It’s a miracle that the filling is really very interesting, I’ve never made one like this before (poppy seeds and walnuts). And one more thing: I put more eggs in my recipe. This time I'll try to do it like here. Thank you very much for the recipe!!!

Lyudmila is very glad that you liked the recipe:) I really love these pancakes, although you can’t eat too many of them, they turn out quite filling. You can add more eggs if you want, they give the dough density. I really like thin and tender pancakes, so I add few eggs

Thanks to the author! My husband and I have birthdays in February, plus we always celebrate Maslenitsa. He cooks pancakes deliciously, I don’t even interfere with it, then that’s it: we, our children, and guests happily gobble it all up with a variety of fillings. What interested me in your recipe was the filling: it seemed simple, but such an option never occurred to me!
