  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake pork in the microwave? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. To bake meat, you will need a microwave oven with the “Grill” function. A regular microwave will not work. The original recipe for baking meat in a microwave oven uses a special microwave-safe plate. I don’t have one, so I baked the pork on a special grill. I took 500 grams of meat (ham), since my microwave is not too large.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the meat, dry it with a paper or other towel and make several cuts on it so that excess fat comes out when baking.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Season the pork with salt and pepper. You can also use any other spices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

If you are using a special microwave-safe plate, preheat it for two minutes. If using a grill rack, place the pork on it and microwave. I also placed a plate under the grill so that the fat from the meat would drain into it. Turn on the microwave oven to the Microwave Grill mode for 12 minutes. My microwave has two of these modes. I chose the one where more power goes to the grill (36% microwave, 64% grill).

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

After the time has passed, turn the meat over and cook for another 12 minutes at the same setting.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Check the meat for doneness. Make a cut with a knife at the thickest point. If clear liquid oozes from it, then the meat is ready. If the liquid is pinkish, bake the meat in the microwave some more. You can set the “Grill” mode, starting from 3-5 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Let the finished meat stand for 10 minutes before cutting so that the juices inside the meat are distributed and the meat remains juicy. Bon appetit!

I noticed a recipe for microwave baked pork a long time ago. I was very interested in whether the meat would be tasty. But I had a regular microwave, so my interest remained unsatisfied. When a microwave with the “Grill” function appeared in the house, I immediately remembered this recipe and decided to try it. I had a pork ham weighing 1.1 kg. Since the piece was very thick, I cut it in half. I didn't add any spices. I made cuts on a piece of meat according to the author’s advice. I don’t have a special frying pan; I cooked it on the rack that came with the microwave. Place a plate under the grate to catch the fat. I turned on the microwave to the Microwave Grill mode (55% - microwaves, 45% - grill). I cooked the pork for 12 minutes on one side, 12 minutes on the other, as indicated in the recipe. During this time, the meat remained a little raw inside. I decided to turn on the Grill mode and cooked the meat on it for another 5 minutes on each side. After that it was ready. The result pleasantly surprised me. The meat turned out very soft, tender, quite juicy. No different from oven baked. Now my interest has been satisfied, and now I know for sure that meat cooked in the microwave turns out delicious. Thank you very much for the recipe! I think I will cook pork this way again.

In which microwave can you cook in a frying pan? Not to mention heating empty dishes. And what is the need? In 40 minutes the pork will be perfectly baked in the oven.
