I made the cake twice. The first time I missed the moment associated with coating the cake (it is square in the photo). The cake turned out very crispy and tasty, but I decided to make it again a week later, exactly according to the recipe, coating the layers and sides with apricot jam. The cake turned out delicious again, but soft. In our family, opinions differed: I liked the first option more (although this is no longer a Leningrad cake), but my sons liked the second. So cook both options like I do and compare

Irisha, I also bought a culinary syringe at the same magical market, and my hands were itching to use it. So I baked a cake for my son’s birthday, decorating it with a trembling hand. Irisha, I myself adore cakes, but my mind works harder, so if I bake it, I eat a small piece, wash it down with 5-6 glasses of green tea and just savor it (young people won’t understand this, many concepts come with age). Well, the family is almost never at home and the main load falls on the morning breakfast or on weekends. So they don’t have time to recover, and one cake lasts a whole week.
