Kefir cake in a slow cooker
The multicooker can handle any task - it will prepare a cake even with kefir. Kefir cake can only be prepared in a slow cooker; I couldn’t do it in the oven. It’s easy to prepare and the cake turns out very tender, and if you add zest, it has a wonderful orange aroma.

Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Products for cupcakes
STEP 2

Using a grater, remove the zest from the orange.
STEP 3

Beat eggs with sugar
STEP 4

Add softened butter (can be replaced with margarine if desired), flour, kefir and baking powder. Using a mixer, prepare the dough. You may need less or more flour, focus on the consistency of the dough, it should be a little thicker than for pancakes, not liquid and not very thick.
STEP 5

Lastly, add the zest
STEP 6

Grease the multicooker bowl with oil and pour in the dough.
STEP 7

We set the “Baking” mode, set the timer for 1 hour 20 minutes.
STEP 8

Let the multicooker run the program and shake the cake out of the bowl.
STEP 9

Let the cake cool slightly and cut into portions. We drink tea with aromatic cake.

Hello. I did everything as stated in the recipe (except that I added cherries instead of zest), but for some reason the dough did not rise and became dense, although I did everything as in the recipe. I would like to know the reason from you, as from the experts. Thank you.
