Homemade marshmallows

Pour gelatin into half a glass of water and stir with a spoon until it dissolves.
STEP 3

Pour the remaining water, sugar, corn syrup and salt into a small saucepan.
STEP 4

Cook over medium heat, covering with a lid for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 5

Remove the lid and cook for another seven minutes, stirring constantly. Here you need to keep track of time very accurately.
STEP 6

Pour the finished syrup and gelatin mixture into a mixer and beat for about 15 minutes until the entire mixture turns into foam.
STEP 7

The volume of the mixture will approximately double.
STEP 8

Mix powdered sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle the mixture onto the bottom and sides of a non-stick pan or baking sheet.
STEP 9

Carefully place the whipped marshmallows into the pan and level its surface with a spatula, sprinkle a mixture of starch and powdered sugar on top.
STEP 10

Place in the refrigerator for at least four hours.
STEP 11

Place the finished marshmallows on a cutting board and cut into cubes. Each of which is again rolled in powdered sugar. Marshmallows can be decorated with confectionery sprinkles or added food coloring.
STEP 12

These marshmallows can be stored in a closed container for a whole week.
