I have been preparing hashbrowns the American way for a long time, in the form of a flat potato cake, and I really like this version. I would love to add a separate recipe, but this function is not available to me, so this will be a photo report for a dish with a similar name. In my version, grated potatoes no eggs, flour or other ingredients are ever added. The potatoes are not squeezed out, and at the same time the flatbread does not fall apart, does not spread, it turns out with a ruddy, appetizing crust. You need to salt the flatbread that has already been turned over to the other side. Then you can add any suitable filling from meat, fish, cheese, vegetables and other things. The author’s version agrees that you need to fry it under a lid and with the addition of butter. I am sure that both options are worthy, because in essence they are delicious fried potatoes))

I’m even sure it doesn’t look like potato pancakes, it’s like grating or cutting into cubes with a vinaigrette, the taste will be strikingly different, I’m also like the husband of violets, I love potatoes in any variation, I’ll definitely try to cook according to this recipe, thank you
