“You don’t have to add onions to the meat” - this is definitely not for me! The more onions in the fried meat, the tastier it is, but of course not more than the meat itself. I added the onion after stewing the beef, after the water had boiled away and fried until soft. The fried beef in a frying pan was very tasty, sugar gave it an unusual taste, I had never added it to meat before, and the meat looked as if it had been fried in soy sauce. The flavor of the beef and onions is great.
