Feijoa mashed with sugar
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients for making feijoa jam for the winter, there are not many of them: high-quality feijoa fruits and granulated sugar. Good feijoas should ideally be without dark spots and with “noble wrinkles,” which indicates the ripeness of the fruit.
STEP 2

Carefully rinse the feijoa, cut off the ends, and cut the fruits into pieces and grind into puree. How? Since this is most convenient for you: you can use a meat grinder, place the feijoa in a blender bowl, or try grinding the fruits using an immersion blender.
STEP 3

One way or another, you should get a homogeneous mass.
STEP 4

Add granulated sugar equal in weight to the crushed feijoa.
STEP 5

Stir until the sugar dissolves.
STEP 6

Place in sterile jars, seal with clean lids and store in the refrigerator or freezer.
